What's Alan Ruck idea for a Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’s sequel?

Alan Ruck, aka Cameron Frye, visited People's Couch Surfing, a show where guests look back at their roles and everything in between. During the talk, Ruck mentioned how over the years people keep pitching him, Matthew Broderick, and John Hughes, ideas for a Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’s sequel.

However, Ruck had long had an idea of his own on how things should turn out in the second movie.

Per Ruck, There are always little rumors, and different writers will come up to [me] at parties or awards shows and say, 'I've got a great idea, and then you never hear anything more about it,'" he said. "Back in the day, John Hughes talked to Matthew briefly about maybe having Ferris go to college. I always thought they should wait until Matthew and I are in our 70s. Cameron's in a nursing home, and Ferris comes and breaks him out!"

Alan Ruck himself is now 64, Matthew Broderick is 58, and John Hughes sadly passed away in 2009. However, CGI or special make up can age the two actors to their 70s without too much trouble.

However, can a modern age FBDO bring the same charm as its 80s ancestor?
